Additions and Alterations

Jacqui and Neil Godfrey were the designer, builder and project managers on our home renovation at 8 Kesteven Ave in 2008.

We were very happy with the services they provided and would have no hesitation in engaging them again in the future. The Inview team was at all times professional and in control of the project.

They managed the build from beginning to end in an efficient and timely manner that meant a minimum of stress for us and we were delighted with the result.

Neil was involved hands-on throughout in the demolition and rebuild. He managed suppliers, other builders, subcontractors and building consent matters in a very calm and obtrusive manner.  His skill and expertise meant he was able to correct some design faults on the architectural plans that even the Council had failed to pick up on.

Jacqui helped us with the colour scheme and the design of the bathrooms, kitchen and wardrobes as well as the lighting and electrical plans. We were impressed with the way she took on board our preferences and was able to incorporate our ideas while ensuring the overall look was tasteful and cohesive. Her eye for detail meant we avoided many pitfalls we otherwise might not have.

Jacqui was also responsible for managing Subcontractors and Cabinetry makers in the fit out phase of the project. She was uncompromising in regard to the standard of finish she required and insisted it was met by tiler's and painters alike.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Jacqui and Neil to anyone else considering a building project.

Additions & Alterations

We undertook a renovation project at the above address for which we employed the services of Inview.

The renovation consisted of the addition of a new master bedroom, ensuite walk through wardrobe, front entranceway and existing decking.

The project also included modifications to the existing house such as the relocation of windows, removal of interior walls and the installation of bifold doors.

Inview completed the project in a timely and professional manner and we have no hesitation in recommending Neil Godfrey and Roger Gibb as highly skilled and hardworking builders who were a pleasure to have on site.

They went out of their way to ensure we could still live in the house while the project was undertaken.

All building inspections were passed first time and costs did not deviate from the contract price.

The advice provided by Jacqui on Interior Design and exterior colours, was invaluable and resulted in a finished product that looks amazing.

We would be only too happy to provide verbal references for Inview if required and would like to take this opportunity to once again thank Inview for a very well managed and well constructed project.

Bungalow in Sandringham Auckland

 Additions & Alterations

From August to November 2003, we embarked on the renovation of our home, a 1930s bungalow that had a very poor quality extension to the rear of the house.

The renovation involved the construction of a new bathroom, hallway, laundry, a second toilet, removing the old bathroom, creating a hallway and replacing the roof on the extension to fit the style of the rest of the house.

After seeking a range of quotes, we decided to use the services of Inview based on the professionalism of the quote and the manner in which they priced the work to be done.

Jacqui helped us with an initial Interior Design consultation and advised us on colours we would use for the walls, the floor surfaces and the size and tile layout, as well as other details that would be appropriate for a 1930s bungalow.

As our builder Neil was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, his experience meant that he approached the project methodically and with confidence.

This was reflected in his dealings with the subcontractors where he kept a shrewd eye over what they were doing whilst maintaining a positive relationship with them. Since we were managing the overall project Neil’s support and advice was invaluable.

Neil was able to give us expert advice on sourcing suitable period materials that we could use and provided us with various solutions to technical problems that arose. He was able to think laterally and examine the functionality of what he was doing. For example, Neil helped us change the design of our shower floor to allow better drainage. He was also able to draw on his experience with kitchen installation and built a bifold door for our laundry cavity.

Neils easygoing, professional attitude made the whole process more manageable as we lived in the house throughout the renovation. Whilst we were novices in the renovation process, Neil was always happy to answer our queries, offer explanations of what he was doing and provide us with an idea of what we needed to do and organise to complete the project within budget.

We were very satisfied with the final outcome of the renovation and are confident that the Inview team are largely responsible for this. Based on our experience we would have no hesitation in recommending Inview for building and interior design services.

Additions & Alterations

We engaged Inview to manage a major renovation to our home and were very impressed with the standard of building work provided. We appreciated Jacqui & Neils helpful organisation and Neil’s often original and practical ideas about how we could maximise the usefulness of space we had.

They both put a lot of time and thought into making the final effect aesthetically pleasing.

Our building project grew and changed as it progressed and Inview did their utmost to accommodate these changes in our ideas and cope with the impact this had on the time scale.

All of the building work has been passed by Auckland Council we would recommend them as builders for your home.
